The Midpoint Atlantic region in the United States is located between New England and the South and consists of the areas of Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington D.C. This region has been pivotal in fostering the growth and development of the United States and has played a significant role in the development of its culture, trade and buying and industries. This region has hosted most of the state capitals since the American Revolution counting Washington D.C, America’s current federal capital. This region can also be considered one of the most affluent regions of the United States as it has 43 out of the 100 highest income counties of the nation.

The Midpoint Atlantic Corporation was founded in 1912 and is an athletic talks that participates in the NCAA Rift III. This corporation is divided into three conferences, namely, the Freedom Talks, the Commonwealth Talks and the Midpoint Atlantic Talks. The sixteen members that form this corporation are based out of the Midpoint Atlantic States. This association has been furthering collegiate sports in the United States since its inception in 1912 with thirteen members. This association continued to grow in its strength housing over fifty teams at one time. But, after the formation of the NVAA Rift I,II and III in 1974, the league reduced its size.

The member team participate in 11 men’s and 11 women’s sports categories that include basketball, baseball, hockey, indoor and outdoor track and field, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, swimming and tennis. They have built-in softball, field hockey and volleyball in the women’s categories.

Most of the sports news in the Midpoint Atlantic region is brought by the Midpoint Atlantic Sports Network that has serves seven state areas and is a regional sports network. This network provides sports news to the areas of Maryland, Delaware, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Columbia and some areas of West Virginia. The MASN was registered as TCR Sports and has been crucial in broadcasting some of the foremost MLB games in this area. It is through this network which has ties with nearly every cable and satellite distributor in the Washington area, that they make sports viewing accessible to every household in this region.
