Check My Webbie Hosting plans. The cheapest is only $3.95/month, but it already includes 1.5 G disk space, 150 monthly bandwidth, 50 email accounts, 24/7 toll free phone support, one-hour ticket response time, etc.

Lisa questions…
I’m looking for independent web hosting reviews. Most I find are paid endorsements. Know of any?

admin answers:
No, but I’ve shopped host providers long enough to give a few excellent reviews.
If your just wanting to host one site, cheap-domainregistration.com (or go-daddy.com… They’re the same company) has a cheap key that reliable and simple to use… They have recient versions of PHP and MySQL installed. They also have a reasonalbe set of pre-installed apps. The control panel is not cpanel (a plus in my book.)
If you looking for unlimited domains, I use Hardhathosting.net. They are pretty cool. One advantage of these guys is that you have a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) so if someone else locks up their MySQL server, it doesn’t pull you down. They use the Sphera control panel which is pretty cool compaired to most I’ve seen (way better than cpanel) even if some of their apps are dated. The people who run the place and the techs are very cool.
I haven’t used them yet, but dreamhost.com advertises some well priced packages that seem reasonable.
That’s at smallest amount 60 hours of research, and I won’t get paid a nickel for any of it.

Thomas questions…
Trusted web hosting and reviews?
Hi, I’ve been doing a bit of research into excellent web hosting sites and found quite a few reviews and things like that, but are they to be trusted? Nearly all the ones I read lead me to hostmonster or justhost. Are these to be trusted? Justhost doesn’t want you to leave the page and gives you some fake thing in this area an agent you can talk to in this area cheaper prices that seems a bit dodgy, but they are rated #1 on loads of sites. Any suggestions?
I’m looking for a cheap hosting site that I can have www.”sitename”.com or perhaps .co.uk ending.
The website will be used to be an online gallery of my designs, flash animations and small films, so unlimited space would be useful
Thanks.

admin answers:
Most hosting review sites cannot be trusted. Thats since they are paid a commission to refer customers to a particular host or hosts, therefore all the reviews are slanted toward hosts that pay them the most.
One site that does NOT slant their ratings is http://www.hostingscorecard.com All ratings are based on a minumum of 1000 public reviews/comments over the last 6 months and sites are not excluded since they don’t pay commission.
The process of how hosts are rated and selected is fully told at http://www.hostingscorecard.com/how.html
The field is full of sites that are perfectly willing to lie to you in order to take a commission. Http://www.hostingscorecard.com will not give terrible advice in exchange for money. If a site is rated high on http://hostingscorecard.com it means that the site has a excellent reputation on the web
